'JAGAN THINKS ABOUT PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS EVEN IN JAIL'

Written By news on Thursday, September 13, 2012 | 9/13/2012

"YS. Jagan Mohan Reddy's thoughts in jail revolve only around the problems and suffering of the common people", observed the Honorary President of the YSR Congress Party, Y S Vijayamma. She was addressing a  mammoth gathering at Pamarru in Krishna district this evening.

A powerful political leader from Krishna District and TDP MLA, Kodali Nani along with Politburo member of the same party, Uppuleti Kalpana, joined the YSRCP in the public meeting, where  Congress leader and former ZP Chairman of Krishna district Kukkala Nageswara Rao and VVR Housing chairman Vaka Vasudeva Rao also joined the party in the presence of Vijayamma.

Addressing a mammoth crowd, Vijayamma said that the groundswell of public affection towards the YSRCP is something she would never forget. She added that she would convey the people's spontaneous expression of love to Jagan. She added that Jagan was implicated in false cases and wrongfully arrested .
Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's promises were cast aside by the present government which was simply not concerned about the well-being of the people, Vijayamma said. After YSR's tragic demise, the state fell on bad days and development suffered, she said. She recalled that during the YSR regime, the common citizen was never taxed.
Jagan is the only leader capable of taking the state forward, Vijayamma pointed out. The current situation in the state is such that farmers cannot till their lands, weavers suffer, the poor don't get two square meals and students have no access to fee reimbursement.

Vijayamma lashed out at the TDP saying that it did not have the courage to press for a no-confidence motion. Ruling out the merger of the YSRCP with the Congress, she said all such talk is a conspiracy aimed at damaging the image of the YSRCP.

Vijayamma recollected the fact that it took the state Assembly three months to hold a condolence meeting in memory of Dr. YSR.  She concluded her speech saying that soon the golden rule of Dr. YSR ('swarna yugam) would return. Welcoming the fresh entrants into the YSRCP, she gave them letters of party membership.
