NAIDU FACES PROTESTORS' WRATH

.
The problem with Chandrababu Naidu is that he thinks he can outfox everyone all the time.
While it is true that the man in the street is naive and is often vulnerable to the inducements of politicians, he can't be fooled over and over again.
On the second day of his 'Vastunna Meekosam' walkathon, the TDP chief had to face the wrath of scores of protestors who raised slogans calling for a united AP ('samaikhya Andhra) at Kollagunta in Anantapur district today.
Naidu came to the district as part of his 117-day padayatra to strengthen his party in the state and to learn from the people directly about the problems they face in everyday life. But the second day of his padayatra witnessed vociferous protests from many people and threw Naidu's meeting into a state of utter confusion for about half an hour.
Finally, he managed to bring some sense of order although there were strong undercurrents of resentment about his posturing on Telangana.
It may be recalled that Naidu recently wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh requesting the Centre to convene an all-party meeting on Telangana immediately.
"In the best interest of the people of Andhra Pradesh, our party urges you to kindly resolve this issue on priority by calling an all-party meeting to settle the issue across the table," Naidu said in the letter.
A popular leader from the Rayalaseema region,  Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy resigned from the TDP in protest against Naidu's letter to the PM. Naidu's attempt to outsmart the people of the state has boomeranged on him and has turned into the proverbial albatross around his neck.
