In a major embarrassment to Telegu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu, people came out in throes to great YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose Samaikhya Sankharavam yatra was off to a great start in Kuppam on Saturday.
In spite of fervent pleas by Naidu to the people of his constituency to boycott Jagan's yatra, there was an outpouring of massive crowds from various parts of Chittoor, who gathered in Kuppam to express their solidarity to the cause of Samaikyandhra. Since morning, thousands of Jagan's supporters, YSR CP activists, made their presence felt in the yatra and slogans of 'Jai Samaikyandhra' and 'Jai Jagan' filled the air.
Addressing a mammoth gathering of people at Kuppam bus stand on Saturday evening Jagan made an impassioned plea, asking them to stand by him in his fight for 'Samaikyandhra'. He pointed out that the separatist leaders were adamant on dividing the Telugu people, but their plans will not succeed.

Why are you dividing us? Jagan to Sonia

He asked Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi the reason behind her decision to split the Telegu race? "Is it because she wanted to pave the way for her son, Rahul Gandhi to become prime minister?," Jagan asked.
Seeking questions from Congress Chief, Sonia Gandhi, Jagan asked that in case bifurcation does take place, where will the students go? Recalling his father, former CM YS Rajashekara Reddy's role in keeping the employment rates high, he said that when YSR was alive, in a year companies would queue up to hire close to 57,000 students in campus recruitment.
He also questioned Sonia's citizenship. The party president said that Sonia had obtained Indian citizenship only in 1983, that is 15years post her marriage with Rajiv Gandhi. "Now, suppose a Bill is brought in the Parliament asking all foreigners who obtained Indian citizenship 30 years ago to leave the country, will you (Sonia) like it?" he asked.

Naidu and CM black spots on history of Chittoor

Accusing CM Reddy and Naidu of playing partisan politics, Jagan said that just like the moon is tainted with black spots so is the history of Chittoor which two black spots.
The 40-year-old enumerating the issues that will steam from bifurcation added that if it were to take place then the partition would transform the state of AP into a desert.
"Water flows into our state only after Almatti and Naryanpur dams are full. In such a situation if another state comes in between water to Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar would become scarce," he said.
Jagan pointed out that due to the ongoing tussle, the situation in the capital has deteriorated so much that even a small town like Coimbatore has raced Hyderabad. "Hyderabad was in third position nationally in attracting investments and going by the latest data, the city stands at 12th place now. Even Coimbatore is ranked seventh now, way ahead of Hyderabad," he said.
Accusing Naidu of keeping quiet and not cooperating on Samaikyandhra, Jagan said that when the APNGO's employees went to Naidu and requested him to resign from the post, he blatantly said no.
He pointed out that when Naidu asked Kuppam to close their shops and homes for Jagan, he wondered if that was said for him or for Naidu. He appealed to the people of Kuppam to question Naidu, as to why the latter didn't write letters in favour of 'Samaikyandhra?'
He also urged people to question the CM on his silence over state bifurcation and his failure to pass resolutions in favour of a united AP in assembly.
Say no to the separatist designs of Sonia, others: Jagan to Kuppam
While culminating his stirring speech, Jagan instigated the crowd to say ‘no’ to the separatist designs of Sonia and Chandrababu, Kiran Kumar Reddy. He further inspired the heavy turnout asking them to change the language to express their resentment.
When Jagan asked the crowd whether they support the division of the State, the mammoth gathering rose on their toes and shouted ‘no’.
He called upon the public to carry out the same unrelenting spirit for united State till the general elections to choose representatives, who reflect their aspirations.
“We will make PM who supports united AP. We will choose our own destiny and will rule the Delhi politics,” he said.
