The YSRCP is turning out to be a stye in Chandrababu Naidu's eye. To top it all, Naidu is beginning to see red everywhere.
Sources in the Telugu Desam party, revealed that Naidu is suffering from an eye infection on the tenth day of his padayatra. According to reliable sources, doctors who tested him and informed him about the nature of the eye ailment, because of which they have become red and moist with tears.
Naidu seems to have got an eye infection because he sees anything and everything the YSRCP does, through a magnifying glass. His eyes had already gone red with the infection, but after listening to the news that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister Sharmila, is to embark on a padayatra starting from the 18 th of this month, Naidu's eyes have become teary. The TDP leaders, sources say, are giving us the laughable explanation that Naidu developed an eye infection due to the flowers that were thrown by the crowds on him!
Naidu is jittery about the large turnout that Sharmila's meetings would draw, according to reliable sources. Scenes of the massive gatherings, including the huge participation of women, at the meetings of YS Vijayamma and Sharmila during the campaigning for the June by-polls are fresh in Naidu's memory. He certainly does not want to see a repeat, and even as he thought his padayatra was going well, news of Sharmila's walkathon has left poor Naidu a worried man. Each meeting of his thus far, has ended on a whimper, in the eyes of his cadre, and his own eyes are getting redder as they see Sharmila and Vijayamma drawing huge crowds wherever they go—without any enticements and allurements. Naidu, who is eying the reins of power, is going red with simmering discontent and green with envy.
