Hyderabad, YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma on Saturday slammed the Congress Working Committee's decision on state bifurcation.
Speaking to reporters at media point after assembly, alleged that Congress is going ahead with the bifurcation for the benefit of some leaders. She demanded that a resolution has to be passed in the State assembly before the Centre can proceed with the bifurcation. She also expressed anger at the manner in which the Government was using unconstitutional methods to bifurcate the state for votes and seats.
States like Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand where only formed after the resolution passed in the respective state assemblies, why is AP with a population of eight and half crores being divided like this, she asked Launching a scathing attack on Chandrabau Naidu, Vijayamma asked when other states were busy building projects what was Naidu doing?
"With his negligence the state has now become a desert. If we had more projects like Almatti,  our state would have more water for our farmers," she said. She also added that those supporting 'Samaikyanadhra' are higher than those supporting Telangana.
Bringing up the contentious topic of water distribution, Vijayamma said that in the aftermath of bifurcation, sea water will be only source of water for Srikakulam to Kuppam. Moreover, how will we get water into the current water projects if state is bifurcated, she asked.
"We not getting water from Krishna tribunal in a united Andhra, how can we solve water problems after the state division.State is suffering due to the deeds done by Chandrababu Naidu while he was the CM," Vijayamma said.
In AP, every industry is restricted in Hyderabad, while other states are as developed as their capital, she pointed out.  "How will government solve the unemployment issue after bifurcation? Every citizen of AP has helped in the development of Hyderabad in 60 years, and now how can they divide the state with out solving the capital issue," Vijayamma asked.
