It is still one and a half years to go for the general elections to the state assembly and Lok Sabha and candidates of various political parties are already working out their strategies as to who should contest from where.
The latest talk doing rounds in the political circles is that B V Chowdary, chairman of Rachana Television Network including NTV, Bhakti and Vanitha channels, is going to contest on the Telugu Desam Party ticket from Khammam parliamentary constituency in place of sitting MP Nama Nageshwara Rao, who is said to be planning to contest the assembly elections this time.
Chowdary has been giving extensive coverage to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s padayatra for the last couple of days. He is trying to get into the people with his innovative idea of popularising national anthem of late.
Similarly, the rebel Congress MPs from Telangana like Ponnam Prabhakar, Guttha Sukhender Reddy, Manda Jagannatham and G Vivek are also planning to contest the assembly elections, rather than for Lok Sabha, since it is easier to win the assembly seats.
